2024-05-18 Charity Plant Sales

There is a charity plant sale in aid of ABF the Soldiers Charity and Kippax Foodbank at the allotments across from Ash Tree School on 18th and 19th May from 10am t0 4pm. Also on Bank Holiday Friday 24th, Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th and Bank Holiday Monday the 27th from 10 am to 4pm.

There is a Ladies Night at Kippax Band Club on Friday 18th October in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Tickets are ?15

2024-05-14 Bowling in Kippax

There is free bowling every Tuesday evening from 6.15pm at Kippax Bowling Club on Brigshaw Lane. Come along and give it a try.

A new Kippax Parish Council defibrillator has now been installed in Leeds Road bus shelter.

Friday 31st May at 7.30pm is Barmy Bingo Night at Kippax Legion. Tickets are ?20. Doors open at 6.30pm. Non-members are welcome.

2024-05-09 Kippax Shop Change Plan

A new application has been submitted to Leeds City Council?s planning committee outlining plans to transform Kippax News on 44 High Street in the Leeds town into a ?hot food/pizza takeaway shop?. Consultation on the application is due to begin on 16th May, with comments to be submitted by 10th June.

James Lewis of the Labour Party has been returned as councillor for the Kippax and Methley Ward with 3,570 votes.

2024-05-01 Tennis Courts Resurfacing

The resurfacing of the tennis courts on Brigshaw Lane is scheduled to be carried out starting 13th May but is dependent on the weather. The work is being funded by Kippax Parish Council.

A new defibrillator has been installed outside of Mount Pleasant Community Centre in Kippax.

The Club meets every Monday except Bank Holidays. In Crosshill Court Community room. Starts at 1.30 to 3.30. It's ?1.50 entrance and this gets you 2 drinks and biscuits or cakes. Everybody welcome.
